Anyone know if these batteries are any good? I was looking at their camera package which they have the HVX-200 for $5,299. With it comes two 6000mAh batteries. I have seen others sell the HVX for $4995. Are these two batteries worth $300?

$75 for a different sticker, which is amazing similar. PS. These batteries are the same (dark grey) color as the Spec Comm's, not silver. . .

Lighter, and longer lasting by a reputable company, and Authorized Panasonic dealer and Authorized Panasonic repair center. you dont get any better than that.

There have been many people on this forum that had bought some cheap generic battery that only ended up blowing up. No joke.

no batteries of mine have blown, just gotten mighty hot. these look like a good deal, which when it comes to TV stuff, is not always a good idea.

It is also worth noting that Dolgin Engineering which specializes in prosumer / professional camera power solutions sells the Specialized Communications battery.

I doubt that someone with as much experience in electrical engineering would stake their reputation on selling an inferior and potentially damaging product.

I have 8 spec-comm batteries. They are long lasting. Work great so far. I use them with the TC400 dolgin charger. All of which, I bought from spec-comm when I bought my HVX's.

It's also worth noting that you get 2% off of that 5299 when you pay by certified check. The batteries normally cost 100 bucks. I haven't had a single problem yet, but I haven't used them tons over the last couple of months. I don't expect that I will anytime soon. Spec-comm has never gotten a bad rep/wrap from anyone here.

    My 2 cents,
    Jason
