    when i ask this...

    but..

i need like a response right now.

    i've tried google searches.

    fcp help

    dvx user searches

and i still can't find anything.

i need to print my timeline from final cut pro onto a mini dv tape via my dvx.

what i'm doing right now is i'm putting my dvx on vcr

and i hold down the vcr and record button down simultaneously and do file print to tape.

    and nothing happens

the video plays on the computer but not on my camera.

    any ideas?

I suggest you make sure VIEW - EXTERNAL VIDEO is set to ALL FRAMES and Audio is set to FOLLOW VIDEO.

Then, play the timeline and make sure it is showing up on the screen of the dvx.

If it is... start it over and hit record.

You can also PRINT TO VIDEO and that will give you the option to add countdown and slate info.

    Good luck,
