Just thought I'd start a poll to help Jim and the team to decide make a Prime Lens Set or not.
1) YES - make a set, I want one now!
2) NO - don't I'm getting Zeiss or Cooke
I'm sure alot of people are thinking about lenses for their new RED.

Does it have to be YES or NO right now? We don't know anything about them. I vote for: 3) MAYBE - if the price is right and they compare well.

Hi,
I think they will sell well if priced at $2000 per lens.

I think yes means if they were at the right price point, ie consistent with current Red pricing do you imagine you be likely to buy a set, not would you definitely. If you doubt that you would be able to afford it though you like the idea answer no. If you suspect that Red is likely to create something you would actually buy even though you wouldn't commit without knowing more answer yes. Maybe shouldn't figure because yes is effectively maybe.

In my opinion anybody can say yes without the specifications of the lens, I think that 1.3 is much better than 1.9... In my case I will work all the time with the red zoom or red 300mm except in low light condition or when I need an 16mm. In this case I think that rent the lens is the better option. If red can make a set of T1.3 Master Primes I will buy it because it's 2 stop better than the red zoom lens and it is worth the trouble.

"I want, I want, I want" doesn't exactly sound like maybe to me.

My idea of a set of 6:
14mm $4000
21mm $3700
32mm $3700
50mm $3500
75mm $3700
135mm $4000
But do the set of 6 for $17500 to match the price of the camera.

Why T1.9 when ZEISS can deliver the new Master primes at T1.3?
