2-1-07 UPDATE: Please note, when viewing the film, that this was shot in 23.98/24P, however when the project was initially uploaded, it was done so incorrectly to an interlaced 29.97 timeline. Due to time restrictions & resources, it was decided to submit the film interlaced, however we will be releasing the slightly extended film in it's original progressive frame rate after the festival. Color correction will also be altered being able to do so natively within Mac/FCP at that time.

    SPECIAL THANKS
    • Rebecca Dunn, I'm incredibly blessed to have had our paths cross. I wish I could have started working with you sooner, but will make the most that I can going forward with putting you in challenging roles, always confident that you'll rise to the occasion & supersede what I could have hoped for. If this is what you want to do, you can go VERY far, I have no doubt. You know I believe in you, my friend.
    • Reid Phillips, my buddy for over 28 years now. It is awesome to watch you get into your roles, and nail them so well. Thank you for the commitment you bring to the table, and your desire to throw everything you have into your character. You were fantastic, and I couldn't have asked for more. If you pursue this, I'm convinced that you too will go far.
    • Shahna Sanders, you stood in SO well as the Concerned Neighbor. I smell Oscars! Seriously, Honey, thank you for being so supportive all the time, and for helping to clear the kids out during the weekend so we could take over the house. You're the best, and glad we were able to get you in the film! I love you.
    • Dan Ayers, you're the man. Thanks so much for bringing so much value to the production with your Steadicam expertise, eye for a shot, and creative input! I find myself extremely fortunate to have crossed paths with you, and hope you had as much fun out of working together as I did. I'm looking forward to doing TRINITY RIVER with you!
    • Ryan Walters, I was SUPER glad to still be able to work with you, and Dan was impressed with your attitude & work ethics ... you made an excellent 1st AC. Aside from just your technical & creative abilities, I value your friendship. Thank you for your honesty & support in all that we've worked on together to date, and will continue to do going forward.
    • Stefan Scherperel, there is no doubt in my mind that WHERE SILENCE FALLS would not be the film it's going to be without having had you on set. Thanks for your sacrifice of coming down for the weekend, even though you'd already been traveling for a week+ in Vegas for work. Your attention to detail, killer BTS photos, and ability to tactfully & quietly keep us pretty darn close to schedule, is much appreciated! You're also just a quality top notch guy, and fun to have around. I want to work with you again.
    • Steve Waters, you're the definition of a gentleman. Always extremely thoughtful & kind on set, while cranking out great lighting & ready to jump in at a moments notice for an adjustment. You and Dan worked really well together, and it'll show well in the film visually. I laughed when you thanked me after wrap for having you on set ... it's I who needs to thank you for everything that you brought to this production.
    • James Eubank, speaking of working well visually, you were always three steps ahead. Everyone was impressed with your attention to detail and continuity. You bring a great value to any set you're on, and I plan to always work with you. Also thanks for your humor ... love it.
    • Robin Steigmann, thanks for feeding us the great meals, and for constantly being around to make sure the craft services were kept fresh & available. You are what helped to keep us all in good moods! Full bellies make for happy folks ... thanks!
    • Alison Binford, your make up & hair looked INCREDIBLE in the HD footage. I don't believe I could have gotten a better MUA to work with, last minute or not. Thanks for stepping in at the last minute to help us out this weekend, and I will look forward to working with you some more for sure. You were also a blast to have around, as you're a riot to listen to ... funny, funny, funny!
    • Shawn Nelson, you also stepped in at the last minute to help us, and I can't thank you enough. The equipment you brought to the table allowed us to be able to have the Steadicam free & clear of wires, and the redundant audio track idea was brilliant, as we'll have three good mono track levels to choose from, should one be too quite, one too loud, etc. Thank you for your involvement on this short!
    • Jerry Turner, your tech expertise with the computers, as well as your willingness to jump in where ever needed really helped to make things run smoothly. I also believe you & Shawn worked well together, with you as the boom operator, and am looking forward to syncing the sound up with the picture here in the next few days! Thanks for jumping in on this production, with only a week's notice.
    • Justin Durban, you helped marry all of the picture, performance, and sound into one beautiful piece with your score, pushing the emotions to new heights that wouldn't be there otherwise without your involvement. You're incredibly gifted at what you do, and I'm ecstatic that you're involved with both this short & the feature that's in development!
    • Forrest Burger, last but certainly not least. You saved us, man! You were gracious enough to take my call, at your home, from a perfect stranger, and then even on top of that you sacrificed your Sunday by hanging with us in the editing room for over 10+ hours to get our film into a final locked edit. If it weren't for you, I'm not sure what I would have done, since I know bupkis about Mac/FCP! Thank you! You're also an extremely talented editor, with a great eye for continuity and flow. You're a perfectionist, like myself, so I REALLY appreciate the way you work! Looking forward to seeing if we can make the budget work with TRINITY RIVER to have you be a part of it.

Thanks folks. This will be a short that will cover a LOT of basis for me, in that I'll be working with most (if not all) of the same team that will be on the feature I'm developing & aiming to shoot March/April, called TRINITY RIVER, also a drama.

Rebecca's slated to be the lead in TR as well, so it's just more exposure for her, and will also be a great opportunity for us to test some of the camera styles/movements & lighting that we want.

Speaking of Rebecca, not only can she act really well & look great (starred in HorrorFest's "R.E.M.", but she's actually REALLY creative, and brings some good ideas & dialogue to the table for the script ... so this will be a fun venture to have her more involved in.

If you guys get a chance to check out Dan's reel (the DP), I think you'll like it!
