Oh, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, LARRY!!! I was just about ready to drown myself in the tub, I'm so stinkin' stressed out. I neglected to get any titles into the film (as in, not even the name of the film itself), so I added those things, and when I changed the project back to a standard 29.97 (since contest rules don't require 24P/23.98 - think they used to, however), it threw off all of my CC settings I had keyed into the Master Video Bus ... so I had to quickly readjust all those as well.

Needless to say, I'm rendering out an uncompressed AVI file now, which I'll then import into Quicktime 7 Pro to output my H.264 file ... but with the time that's left, I'll have one chance at getting the file to the right size of 40MB or less.

Anyone have any secrets for a 6 minute film, as in what bit rate are they using? I'm also curious to see what the average size of the submission are going to be, as in 640 wide, 480 wide, 320, etc. The HVX folks could submit a 720P file, but I don't think they'd have a prayer of getting under 40MB and having it look good, so I'm assuming everyone is going with a smaller size ... just don't know what the average is going to be.

Ugh ... I may be out of luck anyway ... I just checked and the AVI is going to take 2.5 hours to render out at BEST quality due to this stinkin' interlaced thing ... When I had rendered it out to 23.98 earlier today, it only took an hour. 2.5 hours will put me at midnight with ZERO time to render out a H.264 file, let alone have time to render another one, incase the first is too large.

Wow, DramaFest is right ... I can't recall the last time I've had this much drama & stress in my life.

Keep working...you'll make it! Don't give up now. I'll keep the gate open as long as I possibly can.

Remember, we want your submissions. We're not trying to find ways to keep people out

Larry is working on spreading stuff across the mirrors, and making sure everything is running smoothly.

Sometime soon. Maybe tonight. Don't know for sure. Stay tuned.
