Though I do find it hard to believe that there is or will ever be a perfect film across the board here or anywhere.
Regardless, I really think removing the self vote is a perfect approach.
Thanks for pushing this change through.

My word
People actually admitting they'd vote for thier kid even if they sucked ? That won't teach your kid anything but favortism.
Come on; you know if your film is worthy or not.

Eh, decided to go to rate for what I think it deserves.
*cringes at how much the acting score lowers the overall score*

And even worse, does little to prepare them for the real world.

I concur.Without an honest assessment how can one hope to improve? Applies to all children, those whom are actually young and those whom are not and call themselves filmmakers.
I, however, wouldn't go as far as to rip something apart and make someone feel bad. There has to be a certain amount of finesse when criticizing, otherwise you hurt peoples feelings... especially when they put so much time and energy into something.Last edited by Tom Marshall; 10-10-2006 at 03:04 PM.

Sorry I tried to relate a personal analogy to such, as now I feel some people are getting just a little TOO personal.
Peace out.

While not a bad idea to start with, this punishes films that have multiple users collaborating on them. If a certain film is made by 5 DVXUser members, that reduces the possible votes by much more than a film made by only a single member. I would imagine that with some of the films where multiple users take credit it could really impact the film if there votes (whether 10 or 5 or 1) were not allowed at all.
