    Hybridtheory,

I'm using QT7 pro and going in to change the Movie Settings, Settings, Size, then, when I return to the Movie Settings dialog and hit the OK button, nothing happens. Is this normal? It seems to get 'locked up' and I can't tell if it's doing something. Is there a progress bar or something?

    Help!

Are you connected to the internet at the same time??? QT7 locks up if you are and try and go into the settings menu.

Seriously? I didn't know that. So, do you just 'unplug' from the internet before changing the settings?

If so, that would be great! I was starting to panic.

Hey all, great to see this thread.

I'll be tackling this issue very soon (GOD, I HOPE!!!).

I am a FCP user and have never done this h.264 exporting before and hope that I don't run into any troubles. I'm cutting it close as it is.

I am curious though... I shot my film in 16:9 Squeeze mode and am wondering if there are anything special that I will need to do? I read the tutorial in this post for FCP but it seemed specific for films shot in 4:3 cropped or cropped in post.

    And comments?

    Thanks in advance!!!

    Ted

Yes, there is a progress bar, but it is very vague, it normally takes about 45 min, but depends on how fast your system is.

FCP 4.5 HD doesn't allow me to export mpeg2. Is there an alternative export option I can use for the DVD? Thanks for the help.

Thanks Hybridtheory. I've finally got it working. The magic trick was the reply from jpbankesmercer. I disconnected from the Internet, and, lo and behold... I was able to get it working.

Now, the challenge is to get a fairly decent quality 6 minute movie compressed under 50MB. I hate this part. I've been up all night trying to get a better quality movie under 50MB and the irony is that I can get something decent under 55MB.

I've made an appeal to Jarred. We'll see if any other DVXUsers are in the same boat.

    Thanks.

lol, my first attempt came out at 54 mb, that would be awesome if i could be lazy and not do another one, let me know how your appeal to the big man goes.

I am having this bug affect me. Anyone know a workaround or some way to correct for it?
