With all the new HD camcorders coming out i wanted to know what your guys ideal camcorder would be (one that your hoping gets released in the near future)? My dream camcorder that im hoping comes out soon is:
Native 24p progressive/ 1080p HD
1/3 3 ccd
Xl h1 type resolution
Multiple frame rates (slow, fast motion)
4:2:2 color spacing
Avc-intra format
Price - $5000- $8000 (I'm trying to be a bit realistic)

The upcoming sony V1U meets most of your criteria. Although it will be HDV, I believe the 4:2:2 color spacing is possible via HDMI out. And instead of CCDs it will utilize 1/4-inch CMOS. Price in the $4k range....

I guess my ideal would have a Foveon sensor about S16 size or bigger, full manual control, with 3 rings on the lens, (Or, for preferance, interchangerble lenses) and a dial for shutter speed / frame rate.
In addition I would like full raster 1080p HD, and a 4:2:2 colour space.
A true mono viewfinder that could be used with the LCD would put the icing on the cake!, Oh, and a price similat to an HVX 200 !
