Howdy,
The Bay Area Video Coalition (www.bavc.org) is hosting another HVX/DVX user meeting TONIGHT 7-10pm. Topics covered include visual/technical differences in various camera settings, as well as another redrock M2 demonstration.
BAVC is located at 2727 Mariposa Street, 2nd floor in the mission district. @ Bryant. When you arrive at the double glass doors, use the keypad to dial in (I think its #201). The receptionist will buzz you in and tell you which room the meeting is in.
See y'all there!

I still plan on coming, but I just found out last night I have to work today. Hopefully I'll finish early enough to make the drive.

yeah, it's 4:45 and i wont be finished anytime soon, no way I could be there before 9. Beyond postponing, taping the whole demo could be cool, I really wanna see.

Hey, I made it and damn it was a GREAT meeting! Tons of info, the demo of how to set up the M2 will save me about a week (supposed to get my M2 this week), and good times all around. Thanks for making it happen. How about a demo of the Spec-Comm Cineporter next time?

The pairing of the 85mm/f1.4 Nikon lens with the M2 was sweet. How that all gets put together seemed like a professional jerry-rig. I love the spinning glass and flying dust. Great demo, Sam.
Thanks for arranging that great space, projector, Arri, etc. Dillon.

Can someone post a short list of the highlights and whatever you learned? When is the next DVX night at BAVC?

Man, I wish I had seen this earlier. I've been waiting for a dvxuser meetin in SF for so long and then when it finally pops up I miss it. Just my luck...
Oh well, maybe next time. Sounds pretty cool though.
