Text Effect Program???

I have been hired to put together a short documentary/promo video about a non-profit organization.

I have Premiere and Vegas and am not to happy with the text generator and text effects. I do not want this project to look cheesy because the text effects are not very good.

What I am looking for is a good text effect and generator program that can create nice text and cool, but profesional looking effects and transitions for the text. I am not sure where to start looking for something like this.

After effects? Some other text program or maybe a combo of multiple programs. Any recommendations would be great.

Inscriber has one of the best broadcast quality title generators software back from the analog ages. But damn are they the most non user friendly programms to use!!!

They look like they are based out of the netherlands, so shipping a cd might cost more than getting a months worth of dialup access account from netzero
