    Hello everyone!
    I'm a newbie here, I've just ordered a DVX100a and I need a basic set of filters.
Recently I've found the next item on eBay:
    http://cgi.ebay.ca/72MM-FILTER-KIT-F...#ht_3831wt_916

It is very cheap, so I'm just wondering how do these filters compare to the more expensive ones.
If they are really bad, what sort of artifacts will it bring to my footage.

    Cheers,

    ABTOP

Those will degrade your image. Get a B+W or something else highly recommended.

I don't think B+W makes frisbees. B&H's product page states that filter threads for this lens are not applicable. An image search did show me that there are in fact threads. How do you know its size is 102mm?

KSC, you can't go wrong with B+W filters. I use the MRC 010 UV Haze filters on all my lenses. I'm fairly sure that Barry uses them as well.

    Hi Friends!

Will the 4x4 Century Optics filters degrade my image quality? Im looking to order a linear polarizer and an ND gradualated soft edge .3
Are the Tiffens that much better? Or are you paying for the Brand Name?

    Century Optics Tiffen

    $104.95-polarizer $174.95- ULTRA linear polarizer
$104.95-ND gradualated soft edge .3 $189.00- ND gradualated soft edge .3

Wondering the same thing. I recently purchased a mattebox and that seemed to be the cheapest 4x4 polarizer I could find. Anybody who has experience with this filter feel free to give us a review!
