I saw a production photo that had a giant pvc pipe on water hose ... is that a rain machine? or at least a homemade one?

That pic is of firehose grade (or whatever you want to call it) couplings/splitters. Our Special FX & Rigging Coordinator travels the US with all his rain tower gear. I was able to get someone in the city's water department to bypass the whole $500 firehydrant meter deposit thing, and get us hooked up directly to the hydrant for free. We then had 3 or 4 raintowers on the top of teh 2 & 3 story buildings pouring down rain from above. It was otherwise a VERY dry night ... but very cold as well (on top of the buildings it was below freezing).Norm Sanders
