I am having problems capturing and editing my 24p PAL footage. I cannot see a PAL pulldown? I have read many posts across the forum but all the tips/settings are in reference to NTSC footage.
Could someone please let me know what settings I should be using to edit 24p PAL in FCP5.
Thanks

Is this material shot digitally at 25fps which you want to slow down or shot 24 on film and telecined to SD sped up to 25fps?
FCP has a Conform 25 to 24 feature in the tools menu to slow the 25fps down to 24fps - film offline workflow. To get the right pulldown for an external monitor you need to go into System Settings/Playback Control and select 24@25 Pulldown in the Pulldown Pattern list.
FCP does not do any slow down on PAL footage as its captured, you have to process it after using the Conform command or in Cinema Tools.

The footage is shot digitally on the DVX at 24p (Scene File 6 setting) . What settings do I have to use in FC in order to be able to edit my PAL footage. There is a sticky called "How to digitize 24pA footage for a 23.98 Edit" but it is in reference to NTSC footage.
Some clarity would be very much apprectiated,
Thanks for your help.

PAL DVX does not do 24p, only 25p. Which is just fine.
