Do you know what is the difference between the Sennheiser Mic ME2 and ME4?
    (Sennheiser 112 2G)

For interview, which one do you recommend?

    Thank you very much,

    Kind Regards,

    Laurent

    ME-2 OMNY
    ME -4 CARDIOID

depends on placing and noise you are in , the 4 is more directional but much problematic with head turns

Yes, the ME4 is cardiod. It's also got a much smaller mic on it, and it seems to be built better than the ME2. And it comes with a REAL tie clip, rather than a Fischer-Price piece of junk. I'd highly recommend the ME4 over the ME2 if you don't need a true 'omni's lav. I usually like a narrower pattern in a lav anyway!

I dont think so, ME2 is the smaller of the two and has a better metal clip... ME4 is rather big and comes with a plastic clip and a huge wind-shield.. yes ME2 is OMNI & ME4 is CARDROID..

The ME4 is MUCH larger and harder to hide on the actor. I use it as a plant mic. I much prefer the sound of the ME2 when micing an actor. I use vampire clips, rather than the much clunkier tie climp. Actually, the MKE2 is a far superior omni for micing actors. I've got one ME4. I won't be buying more.

Don't use the omni if connecting to a PA system. Cardiod only for that.
