LoL. Sweet. Look at all the composers suddenly jumping over here.
That's awesome. Score ten points for Norm posting over there.
Welcome, everyone. Thanks for taking the time to let yourselves be known.

Golly, even got the founder of V-I to post over here! That'd be like Jarred posting over there offering up DP services & such.
It's incredible to see two different forums/communities connecting like this.
Anyone know of a really good FX/CGI community we can tap into for this festival as well?Norm Sanders

We could try Cgtalk.com - it's like DVXuser.com but a lot bigger and all about CG/art etc. I've recruited members for a few projects from there before.

Hmm, good one Chris. But they charge to join, don't they (thought I remembered you saying that once)?
Also, Chris, you're the one that kind of started this forum cross pollenization back for the sci-fest ... so thanks for the idea! You're kind of the grand-daddy of it!Norm Sanders

Oh, no, but I did hear someone say that they did charge to join. There's another service which is part of CGtalk which isn't free (its for artists) but as far as I am aware the forum is free to register. I can always make a post there, I have an account and know quite a few members.

Make a post there, and have them post under the Hero fest thread.

This is friggin' Awesome! All of V.I. and AMS forums are coming on over!
If you filmmakers out there can't find one of us composers to do your film, you a) really suck. b)aweful social skills in communicating with us c)just plain retarded. (or mentally challenged to be correct)
So much talent here that's for sure. Definitely hit up CGTalk or www.3dtotal.com Its basically the same core group of people just spread through a few boards.

Niah,
Welcome to DVXUser.com. Nice music, you should really get a project here with that!
I really encourage you to get a website though - team up with a web designer, maybe someone starting their portfolio or something (you could get it for free). You'll find you'll get a lot of people commenting on your music, and more projects will come your way!
Good luck and again, welcome to DVXuser.
EDIT: Just started working on a new demo. Any comments so far? http://www.chrishurn.com/Dust.mp3
