Here is some stuff I shot over the weekend - download the file gulldog.mov and watch it full screen - the orginal file looks sooooo much better than this though, especially on a plasma

It made me laugh, it made me cry. I soared to the heights and plumbed the depths. I'm tellin ya that one dog could act!

RGD nice work on the post. What is your secret for low noise??
Plus I am a new FCP user and while the H.264 codec appears as
a choice I get a codec error. I am playing with 1080 30p clips.
I can export a 480x260 QT file in other codecs??

Justyn that is aweome. I've never seen them in concert. My girlfriend caught them at the Wiltern a few years ago here in LA but they haven't been around since. I hope they kick the big H -
I've been shooting w/ Cinelike_D , -3 detail, coring all the way up - I'm using Compressor 2 on a Mac to turn them into H.264 files at 640x360 - 1800 kb/s -
There is noise on the images. The camera DOES produce noise in shadow areas, you just can't see it on these clips , however, that being said, the noise is sooooooooooo not an issue at all - if you're a visual nerd and are looking for it, your eyes will go to it and they will stay there - regular people don't notice it at all - every single person I've shown footage to this camera all have the same reaction, "whoa, holy sh*t that's clear!" - no one ever has said yet, this camera is crap, look at all that noise - you guys have to test it out on a few monitors and see for yourself, its not an issue though
check out this random dumb thing my friend bob and I shot today http://www.richard-darge.com/HD/bob.mov

If you aint' hung up about the noise issue, then I'm gonna relax.
Wish everyone who has an HVX would comment on it... or else the ones who think there's a problem will distort the picture. I'm not saying their complaints are not legitimate, but I need to keep things in perspective. Mebbe we need a POLL.
Your stuff looks great.

Richard,
Good stuff man. I'm really digging the stream of consciousness stuff. I get the sense you're shooting more because of the workflow speed. Shoot = Edit. Must be sweet to not have capture time. I'm jealous.

Richard,
I don't know what it is about your work, but I find it strangely appealing. There's a certain order in the randomness of the images you edit together that keeps my interest.
Good stuff,
Keep it up.Films on Vimeo: http://www.vimeo.com/pinelakeflms/videos[/SIZE]

Thank you guys for the warm comments ! I love p2 and this ability to cut almost immediatley - it's really changing how I conduct myself - that being said, I finally got my first camera gig this weekend !! Yay! Nothing too special, I'll be shooting b-roll against a Varicam - lots of blue-screen work
