My name is Joe and I am new to this forum. I just wanted to introduce myself and I look forward to meeting all of you and talking shop.
A little bit about me:
I live in Austin, Texas and I have been writing Screenplays and Teleplays for about 4 Years. I have been interested in film since I was about 12-13 Years old and have worked in Movie Theaters and Retail Movie Stores until about 2 years ago when I decided it was time for a "Real" job. I am interested in finally starting some of my Scripts into production due to not wanting to chance selling them to Production Houses and then have my work ruined by someone who doesn't understand the concept. I am by no means a professional and at this time I am not in a position to call Filmmaking or Writing a career yet (Hopefully one day soon). I do however look forward into learning from everyone hear so I can grow into a decent filmmaker and hopefully have one of my projects entered into my local film fest -> SXSW BABY!! My parents live in 'your neck of the woods'. They are out in Wimberley. Have y'all ever been out to them parts? (That felt good to say. I've been supressing my Texan accent for far too long.)
