No output from component / S-video / composite at the same time ?

I've heard somewhere that you can't use component and s-video output at the same time while HVX is in playback mode. Is this true with camera mode as well ? How about composite out ?

Plugging in the component cable appears to disable the other outputs.

So, are there anything like small "component -> s-video converter" out there, do anyone know ?
Combined with component splitter (again, if such a thing exists), I can drive an on-camera LCD monitor (Marshall) and an old SD CRT / other devices.

Please don't say better avoid s-video - I am in need of them !

Most decent monitors will have some sort of pass-thru. Don't know if the monitor could receive component and pass-thru s-video though; I kind of doubt that...
