just picked up an HVX today at Omega Broadcast Group here in austin... i am so relieved - i can finally get a good night of sleep...
had one on order with another vendor when i got a call from allen @ Omega saying they have them in stock (went to an HVX demo they had in january and got on a pre-order list with them just in case the other vendor couldn't deliver - which happened). i'm completely stoked...
anyway, they have 3 - 4 units sitting in their warehouse and are expecting 4 more on tuesday - just thought i would spread the word...
they're a flagship dealer for Panasonic... ask for allen (won't be in till monday), or call NOW and catch david (president/CEO of the company), who just happened to come in today and catch up on paperwork (i don't know how long he will be there).

Just got off the phone $5,495 for cam no p2, p2 4gb card $650 no price yet on 8gb cards. Ant they do not have any in stock. They have preorders to fill first.

nothing looks bad on my LCD. it does *look* low-rez... not blurry images or anything - but the focus assist feature totally makes-up for it. Originally Posted by Paul Farmer

just got off phone with them, Allen handles all of the HVX allocations. From what David says, the HVX's are gone. : (
