What I have here is a small sample clip of what I filmed
off the screen at Laser Pacific when I was covering the screening. The noise you see is from my Canon SD550 that shoots 640x480 at 30fps video and not the HVX.
However these clips demonstrates how well the HVX200 holds up to a 35mm blowup for big screen presentation.
It looks really good in my opinion
Scroll down the page to news story (...NEWS 206 ) and the link to clip
is there below the photo of the filmmakers at the event

Thank Michael.
It looks like the HVX200 holds up fairly well to 35mm blowup.
I wish I could of seen that. Not bad for a 6K camera!
Again, thanks again for your updates. I really enjoy your web page
and thoughts on these cameras.
Now if we can just get our hands on these dang HVX200s.

Awesome Michael, thank you very much for takin the time to put this up. Did the footage remind you of old Super16? I keep getting that impression from looking at certain shots and especially this footage, great stuff! Thanks for keeping up the nice and un-biased site for everyone to enjoy as well! =)

Anybody could try this test with Canon Xl H1
? Laser Pacific it's interested about it?
Michael Pappas what do you think about results that could have the Canon in a 35mm blowup, considering the more high-resolution advantage?

I can accept that high resolution it's not ever'ything (Canon advantage), but crappy noise it's a nightmare. Still waiting someone tries Barry suggestion about noise, so we can see clean footage from Hvx200.
P2 it's a great advantage of Panasonic and I love it. Also love variable framerate, but I'm still waiting to see "stunning" footage from Hx200. I hope to see great footage soon, very soon. I'm sure that something in those menu of Hvx200 can produce great image if we know how to tweak it.
I'm a not a canon fanboy, I'm brand agnostic as Emanuel

Rodrigo,
I sure hope not.
The 48 Hour footage over at snagle.net sure makes you think it does.
It makes me wonder how they could of overlooked the noise settings (gain, gamma, detail, ect....)
