And he did! Thanks Dan. I wish you did have them, they were a great deal for carbon fiber rods.

Carbon steel rods (tubes) in 15mm are available from McMaster Carr at 3 feet for about $10.00. Part # 50295K331 at http://www.mcmaster.com/

For that price I could afford a little steel wool and WD-40 to clean them every once in a while.
Have fun stoimin the castle boys

We have 15mm carbon fibre iris rods and support systems in-stock. 25 and 40cm (9.8" and 15.7" respectively).

    Mother !!!!!!!!!!

Where was this info a couple months back when I was looking for 15mm rods!!!!!

    Damn! Damn!!! Damn!!!!!

Seriously, thanx for the resource. I paid $40 bucks for Cavision's 15mm rods and for what they are they just seem way too over priced!!!

    Thanx again!

This is tubing with a wall thickness that is about 1mm... so I would say that they are about the same weight as any other 15mm rod that is steel. Heavier than carbon fiber but not too bad.

Has anyone gotten the 15mm steel rods from McMaster and verified that they work fine? This seems like a great option for me.
