Making hair

Hello all,

I am looking to make a current picture into one that resembles the 70s.

By doing this I was hoping to give the person in the shot a afro...any techniques to use to make hair?

I have found a few tutorials on making hair, but the best one I found was for making a beard.

Also, since I am on the topic of 70s look, is there a filter or two that would make the picture more 70s/retro looking ala pastel faded colors.

Thanks for the help, I'm still a photoshop novice.

I'd say your better off just using the clone tool and finding a guy with an afro and clone it in there. Your not a painter so don't try to paint the hair on.
