ive been grinding with 1000 grit and everytime im done i get something like this:
How do i keep it from scratching while im grinding it?

yea i use water and make a nice paste outta the aluminum oxide, and im super carefull when i take it off the glass and wash it. and thats still what happens every time

The glass that you're using to resurface the uv, is it a nice piece of glass or a cheap piece of glass (meaning is it from a picture frame)? IT has to be a nice thick piece of glass to grind with!

Id like to ask you, are you using this for static or spinning GG?
The reason I ask is that when you spin it, slight scratches wont matter unless they are circular sratches that show up when spun.

im doing the static thing, and yes it is a picture frame, what should i get to grind with? is there a specific type of glass?

when you physicaly grind it, are you making sure to use a figure 8 while rotating between each pass?

The glass has to be a least 1/4in or thicker to grind with. If its cheap glass its not going to work.
