    Music for TV show
    Hi Guys,

We are working on a new show. It will be 6 to 8 30 minute episodes. We are looking for music, which we will use a lot in each episode.

We have an account with De Wolfe that covers music for the state we work in. This show would be national, so it would cost $1,150 dollars for music for all of those episodes. That’s not bad.

We like APM the best, but they want $1,500 per episode for national music.

What libraries are you using? Anything out there that’s good, yet affordable?

Sites like DeWolfe and Killer Tracks and Fresh Music are great, and loaded with high-quality tracks. Admittedly, they’re also targeted above a certain budget level.

Pond5 has some good stuff at much lower rates, but the search tool needs some work. That means you’ll have to pour through quite a bit before you find what you’re looking for. Still, they have some good offerings that work well for lower budgets.

However, there are quite a few composers floating around, some of them on the forum here. You may get a better value - price and quality - by hiring on a dedicated composer.
