This thing just seems to be a mess of white noise when attached to the MI Shoe of different A7 cameras, and on the A7SIII and RIV, it's impossible to change the audio record level. Regardless, noise persists despite cycling through just about every combination of settings in lav tx and rx.
Sounds just peachy hooked up to the XLR's or 1/8" Input 3 a K3M.
Guess it can't just be as easy as plugging the rx into a gimbal cam to provide both lav and boom inputs clean, huh? Something I'm missing?

Need to lower the record level in the camera to 1 and add gain from another device...noise disappears. (Record level is in the menu. Best to map it to a button for easy access.)

Oh, that’s what you meant...then it’s probably just the way it is through that interface with that equipment. I can’t picture any solution that would help besides using other hardware, but maybe there’s something out there.

I forget Mi-shoes for the noise it brings in floor level, now i plug mini jack on my a7S3 it is far better. That was the same with my Fs7 Mi-shoe = noise on floor i think now Mi-shoe is a gadget! what are you doing Sony?
