    Canon is far more likely to release an updated model than to update an old model. But it might take 2-4 years.

    The main thing for me as a C300 III owner is to have 1fps shooting. It's a run-and-gun camera system how could that get left out...

    Just curious, what do you actually shoot with the 1 fps and how do you use that feature?

    Not exactly the same thing, but I use super-long shutter speeds (typically 2 seconds) on mirrorless cameras to shoot timelapse footage with lots of motion blur. (So, it's still recording 24fps but every 48 frames are the same frame repeated.) Then you speed up the clip as much as you like in your NLE. Just a quick and dirty way of doing a timelapse without needing to process still photos
