You're probably absolutely right. But my point was, if it's a comparison, show me some type of direct, head-to-head, same scene comparison off the top. If he would have done that, I may have watched the whole thing.
I'd like to see a real, viable alternative to DJI, if just to keep the market evolving. I want a drone with customizable obstacle detection/avoidance. DJI's "360 type system" on the Mavic 2 Pro is too sensitive with too much of a space buffer.

Haha, but you are probably a broadcast professional.
YouTubers don’t seem to understand the ‘get to the point’
thing. I can’t tell you how many times I have clicked on
a YouTube video to refresh my mind on how to do something
relatively simple. And 4 minutes later after being urged
to ‘like and subscribe’ and being told all about what sort
of content has been on this channel and what is yet to come
I have clicked over to another video in frustration.
Seems to be relatively common among YouTubers.

Yeah, I actually prefer that format too. Newsshooter
is one of my favs. I actually write reviews for
digital filmmaker on occasion as well as on my
blog and that’s exactly how I do it.

I'm late to the party, but was did DJI do that Apple don't? They both sell Chinese products into US and Europe?

For starters, Apple is an American company...so you'd think products are regulated well on the home front.

It's not about products made in China, it's about espionage. US intelligence agencies banned DJI products last year because of espionage concerns, and consider DJI a bad actor, like Huawei.

In 2015, the Chinese government passed what is known as the National Security Law, which legally binds any private enterprises to adhere to the national concerns followed by the National Intelligence Law of 2017. The language was broad enough but the effect was the Chinese government has the de facto complete control over the nominally independent businesses. To what extent the control is being exercised in open to interpretation.
If one's interested, this is one take (there are others)

Side note, an FB acquaintance visited China a year ago or so and found access to Internet hard to come by. She was looking for something in Russian or, at worst, English and found that those sites were blocked.

I haven't heard of the 50 Cent Army until ten minutes ago.

And still the US trade deficit is getting larger. In the long term outsourcing can be bad for the economics.
