I have an external monitor connected to the canon 90d hdmi out. I am trying to properly expose my video shots. How do I see the exposure meter on the hdmi monitor? Or how do you make sure my exposure is good on an external hdmi monitor?

Do you have zebras on the monitor? Or any other exposure tools?
How'd you do it on the Pocket?

The pocket has all of those internal tools. With the 90D, I may have to use the tools from the monitor. I would just have to do a clean feed out of HDMI. The pocket is nice because you can use the LCD and external monitor at the same time and use tools from both just to feel comfortable.

In the menu settings somewhere, you can probably change it to not output any information and have a clean feed.
(And a lot of people use nice external monitors with various tools even if their cameras have them internally.)
