rip off that gaff tape over the bottom viewfinder port and make yourself a cover while you are at it.

That is a future thing maybe. Not that I really care about the gaff being there.

Loving the new plates. exactly the direction I would have loved to take my build at the time! (though I like the way Yachacha leveled off the top. )

This is exciting stuff and looks very nondestructive, which I suppose is a plus!

Update.

Design is done mostly.

It will be made a bit skinnier, but it is hard to 3d-print that so mockup is a bit thicker.

Im kinda diggin' the red color haha, (I know that its just the 3d print) but some color options on the final machined pieces could be pretty cool for self expression / individuality, just a thought. Also do you think adding the extra metal would adjust the internal temperature?

I am talking to some CNC people right now, and final version might be made in UK by RatWorks, and the. You can order WHATEVER color your want!!

We are debating going back to the drawing board and remake the top to include several lemo power outputs.

I am currently redesigning my rig to have a wet dock with a box attached on the back, in the box have 2 AJA 3gm recorders, and behind that the battery plate. And the wet dock power is for the AJA boxes.

However, if I go in steadicam there is not enough outputs to power recorder, terradek, and FIZ. The side panel just outputs 4A and that just powers 2 of them sadly.

The is no issue but getting the top dock was more work than we thought. We ended up taking apart a SRW-1 to be able to have power coming out

And the top plate is getting it's redesign.

Been busy working, actually shot some stuff on the F35. But the cage is coming along.

As well as a powered top handle with 2-pin LEMO *and* P-tap

This side plate below seems almost done, now we are going to send it for prototyping in CNC.
