Can DTAP TO LEMO POWER CAMERA WITH SRW-1 RECORDER?

Hey there, I've been powering my f35 with the dtap to lemo cable you can buy on ebay and it powers up beautifully I am not currently using an IF box. I also own the srw-1 if I attach the srw1 to the camera can the dtap to lemo power it all without issues?

When I had my F23 and SRW1 i tried powering the unit with that cable and I fried the SRW and had to buy a new one. You should always power that combo with the Anton bauer battery plate or proper A/C connection. Dtap to Lemo does not give out the proper amount of power to safely power everything.

The Anton Bauer Plate does EXACTLY the same thing as the DTap cable, there is no fuse, or special circuit in the gold plate, it's the exact same thing wiring black and red from the battery to the LEMO. So the idea that it is the DTap cable as the short coming is not correct. It's too much amps for 12V battery, no amount of cable resistance is going to improve that.

This camera was designed for 24V Block Batteries, using gold mount became possible by loosing the SRW1 power hog.

So I wanted to update everyone who wants to shoot with the srw-1 recorder. I know that Mike had a past issue with powering up his unit and it going bad for him, not sure what caused his srw-q to fry, perhaps his unit wasn’t good or something (it happens) but I finally took the plunge and powered up my SRW-1 attached to the f35 with the cheap dtap to lemo connector you can buy on eBay or amazon and it worked flawlessly. It’s obviously a power draw but not as bad as I thought. I have a whole bunch of 190wh Vmount batteries so power isn’t an issue whatsoever.

Just thought I let others know that it’s 100 percent possible.
