I'm actually waiting to talk to my dealer a little later. They have been embargoed from selling or discussing pricing for a few more hours. If I pull the trigger, I'll go through my them.

Only thing kind of holding me back, is I have noticed a sort of a dark look to the highlights on the Komodo. Like even when blown out they never go white. This gives the look of more dynamic range, but also looks a bit odd sometimes. Anyone else seeing it?
ah well, can all come out in the grading. Just thought it was an interesting choice, but also might just be the way people grade.
EDIT:
The grading in this video has white blown out parts, although, this one was also one of the more "video" looking ones, if going by the comments section. Not that the comments section is the place to get good perspective.
Regardless, it is still a 12+ stop Global Shutter 2lbs camera.Last edited by James0b57; 10-13-2020 at 01:06 PM.

And I say this as a former RED Epic owner.
The footage looks good.
But it doesn't look any better than any of the other current 4k-ish cameras out there right now.Matt Gottshalk - Director/ Dp/ and Emmy Award Winning Editor
