The Czechs took the page down but €6000 is probably $6,000 (b/4 sales tax) in the US.

They'll probably match C70's price... What concerns me is a). If it has the same sensor as the FX9, the lower than expected DR performance and b). As a B-cam matching my FS7 to Sony's new color science...

Plus, Sony must feel it has to respond to the recent deluge of the Canon models. I wouldn't be surprised if there were an FX-3 somewhere in development.*
*I invented the model number but .... if FX-6 is around $6,000, that Sony lineup still has room for something in a $3,000 range even if it occupies the same price territory as A7SIII. And it wouldn't be all that difficult to stick A6600 guts inside the FX-6 style body, give it a 10-bit GOP and market it as an entry level product.

I am ready to buy something. I wish this was announced already. it'll either be this, or an A7SIII.

The FX6 is different from the a7s III. I own an a7s III and find it about the best mirrorless video camera I've shot. But dedicated video cameras are different. Be patient and wait for FX6 if you want to compare specs and features. a7s III can be a remarkable video camera-- don't get me wrong. It depends upon your needs, shooting style and budget. Hang in there C100Scottie!

Interesting. The A7sIII has pretty much everything I want
except the built in variable ND. I was hoping the FX6 would
be an A7SIII with variable Nd. I do understand that would
possibly infringe on the FX9. But how to make the FX6
better than the A7SIII and not as good as the FX9?
Tough challenge for Sony. So if the FX6 is ‘different’ than
the A7SIII, I wish they would just at least announce the
specs so I could make a decision what to buy.....

They won't need to do much if it's around $5K, $6K. Add ND, don't provide too much information in the codecs, crop the sensor at 60p, and it sits there between the a7SIII and FX9 with features spread out between all models (as they always are).
