Hi All,
art p, nyc based cinematographer here -
starting this thread because I'm curious what people's motivations are for making the F35 work today, considering the effort
and what you're using it for.
as stated above,
i'm a cinematographer in new york
(i also work in bangkok too)
my work is in narrative films,
music videos, and some commercial (narrative driven as well).
here are photos of when I've had the chance of some bts:

Glad to see that my Berkey System's re-purposed cheeseplate discovery has had life beyond my time with the camera
Grabs look great!

It’s been extremely helpful For mounting any peripherals ac side - thank you
I also added 2x nylon washers between the plate and camera
that helps level the plate
matching the height of the camera level that protrudes up

Cool stuff and nice rig. Is that the EZ-rig? Are there already cut price EZ-ring type of rigs out there that do as good of a job with F35? Always found EZ-rig interesting but it was pretty expensive when it came out. Is it just for handheld or can you get any decent movement too? Of course not expecting steadycam smoothnes.

this was a knock-off easyrig from @rbirnbaum actually,
we didn't have much of a budget for this one hah
I use the vario 5 a lot
and just treat it lot human sticks,
that give me organic side-to-side movement
also works for like a small push in
the I LET YOU video, i used an ergorig (underslung & normal mode)
I bought one as a more affordable easyrig and it works well,
semi-different functions but still a great tool
I have a discount code someone if anyone is thinking of buying (ergorig)

thanks a million, james
I appreciate it - i have some more narratives I just shot before covid on the f35
that i think show the sensor's depth very nicely
that I hope i can share soon!

LOVE the utterly random F3 Berkey plate off the top side of the camera! Clearly some engineer at Sony determined a spacing for accessory mounting holes and just decided it should apply to all models.
