The GH5 and at least a couple other Panasonic cameras have an "Extended Tele" setting in the menu that gives you a bit more. It takes advantage of sensor cropping, and gives you something like 1.3x when shooting in 4K and 2.6x when shooting in HD. I use it often and can't tell the difference between 4K shot normally and 4K with extended tele. If you haven't tried it, I recommend it first. Can't beat the price!

Neither Pany's 1.4X or 2X teleconverter is compatible with either version of the 100-300mm lens.
