Sod all this Sci Fi tripe. It's all about Victorian Farm on Prime. So. Addicted.

Casino by Martin Scorsese. A long but really interesting film. The other day rewatched the Riddick trilogy. The 2nd film is the best, imo.

Some interesting history about the making of that animated version--

Just finished season 2 of The Mandalorian. (Painfully)Slooooooooooow start, but finished STRONG. Last four episodes were great. They could have cherry picked and culled the first four into one episode. As I said in the thread in the Films Discussion Forum, they were 85%-90% filler. Chinese newspaper and sawdust.
Also finished Wonder Woman 1984 a few nights ago. Pretty much the same thing. The last 35-45 minutes were good, but the rest could have been cut down to about 30 minutes. It felt very disjointed with a premise that seemed wonky, even in the context of that universe. Which was a shame, because I loved the first one and thought it was one of the best super hero movies that has been made. But thinking about it, I really liked the first Captain America, too. And I think what made these two so good, they were their origin stories and both were set in the past.

This one was set in the past as well, and did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING with this.

Absolutely true, in the absolute sense. But you know what I mean...
I think there’s just something about some of these super hero movies/stories that works better in those “simpler” times, when there was still some mystery in the world. I mean, who’d like to see Superman re-done in the original time period?
