More info directly from the NAB:
"NAB has been monitoring the evolving situation on coronavirus both in the U.S. and around the globe. Due to the public health emergency we are currently facing, we believe that it is not possible to move forward with NAB Show as planned. Please see below for a message from NAB’s president and CEO Gordon H. Smith, along with some FAQs about the decision."

Why would someone downvote Cary for posting this information? Everyone has known for at least the last week or two that cancellation was almost certain. No one is reveling in being right about it.

As a protest to the cancellation of NAB I will not be attending NAB this year.

I'm personally a fan of the text option on DVXuser. I can use actual words to describe my thoughts and as such I never use the upvote or downvote option, which is a great option for people who are not good with articulating words and prefer anonymity to their inarticulate thoughts.

There's going to be a lot of people in financial distress very quickly. Las Vegas will be one of the hardest hit. I wouldn't be surprised if 5-10,000 people in Las Vegas get laid off in the next few days.

Yes, definitely.
But this will pass and to quote the stoic Marcus Aurelius:
Our actions may be impeded, but there can be no impeding our intentions or dispositions. Because we can accommodate and adapt.
The mind adapts and converts to its own purposes the obstacle to our acting.
The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way.
