One feature I would so love to see future cameras utilize - if their sensor allows them to - is burst technology.

Offer high framerates in 4K for a few seconds.

    4K/120p for 10 seconds, 4K/240p for 5 seconds...and you'd have over a minute of slow-motion at a higher-quality.

Truth is, the 1080p slow-motion is rarely good enough, besides for close-ups. It's soft and the difference is always prominent. Sony offers this with their FS5/RAW combo and some of their P&S cameras (those in HD).

and USB-C connection for headphones so you can take off 3.5mm plastic connector off your list. but darn micro HDMI. If there is internal 422 10 bit then not as important I guess since I wouldn't be using an external recorder.

Personally, I would like to see 17:9 output and 4K DCI over HDMI. Curently stuck in 16:9 and UHD for the Ninja V
BUT most of all, GET RID OF rec601 mismatch issues over HDMI. Tired of crushed blacks and improper contrast.

Micro hdmi is a deal killer for me.

I had to send my xt3 back for a replacement.

it is way too fragile for a production environment.

Yeah, it really sucks. Same thing happended on my original Pocket Cinema Camera, even with an HDMI lock attached. Is an external viewing monitor recommended for the XT-3?

The BMPCC had it soldered onto the entire board inside. IIRC, they used to RMA/replace the entire camera very early on and then stopped doing that as it probably wasn't too feasible long-term.

Did they provide you with a new camera or said non-fixable?

The bigger battery and ibis are nice, but I see basically no reason to upgrade from the X-T3 for video work.

So, that last list that I liked was the real deal. Nice.

A few questions in case anybody can play with the XT4:
    - Are there crops in any modes? 2k HFR modes I'm looking at you
    - Does eye-detect AF work in video mode? And does it stick to the subject well enough? The XT3 debacle is worrying: having something that works and breaking it with a non-reversible firmware "upgrade" is... not nice.

    And for current XT3 owners:
Will I be able to work with the H265 codec directly in Resolve, or is transcoding still mandatory? I have a ryzen with 64GB of RAM and an nvidia 2060super with 8GB of RAM.
Maybe the easiest thing here would be for me to download a few clips and play with them, there must be plenty shared online, let's see if I can have time for that this weekend...
