Has anyone encountered this problem? Could it be dirty heads or maybe using a sony dv tape and not knowing if the previous owner of the cam used a different brand of tapes? Does anyone have any insight? I'd appreciate it, thanks!

Clean the heads, that's usually the result of dirty heads.

Thanks for the quick response, Barry! Do you suggest a tape cleaner or manually cleaning the heads?

Either should clear up the issue. Depends on what you're comfortable with.

Hey Barry, I cleaned the heads manually. Seems like I still have the glitchy lines. Wondering if I should switch tapes and start fresh? I took a few photos, does anything look weird to you?
