I see 4K/60p in the last column and I get excited.

I know it seems like that - and it really does - but actually there are only four 4K/60p S35/FF with a crop cameras (three being relatively new) that are currently available as a mirrorless or DSLR, and they are the 1DX Mark II, X-T3, S1 (I'm counting the S1R and S1H as the same model), and Pocket 6K.

[MFT sensors and cinema cameras are of course a different story.]

Rumors on A7IV were 8bit. Surely, A7SIII, if it's ever released, will be in 10-bit at the very least.

I will believe 10bit when I see it. I hope that RAW over HDMI does not make the industry lazy thinking they are giving so much that they do not need to beef up the internal recording. My guess is the processing power is much greater that they want to go after for 10bit so it is easier to send RAW out a fat pipe. The Sony bodies are small, so heat is always knocking at the door.

1D X MKIII has HEVC (OK, NX1 had HEVC back in 2015), which makes a lot of sense for 6K and even 5K. Whether or not SIV will have it ...

if the A7sIII or so called A7sIV only has 60fps in S-35...that would be hugely dissapointing. actually its unimaginable as this is supposed to be a revolutionary camera body according to Sony.

Sony needs to sell HDR TVs; any new cameras without at least 10-bit color + Rec.2020 support makes no sense.

1DX III and X-T3 are 10-bit options now (newer Pana cams have 10-bit but lack phase detect AF (+ need more work on color science). If Sony pulls 10-bit on the IV cams, perhaps ZCam will add PD AF (Red Komodo has it now).

No rants if Sony cripples the A7S (x); just lost sales for Sony.
