I was wondering how to show this format on youtube? Is it something to do with the way I render the film on Vegas Pro 14 or is it something on youtube side that I have to adjust the way I want my film to look like?

this is not my film I just grab it to use as a example

It would help if you explain what you are talking about.
If it is about aspect ratios then it depends on the mode (regular vs theater) that is selected. And what you see another person may not see!

Always upload the exact aspect ratio to YouTube (i.e. without any black bars). And, yes that is supported, no need for fixed container aspect ratios!

They most likely cropped the video in post. Probably after adjusting their framing in a lower-resolution timeline with preferably a higher resolution (although not totally necessary).

[Or they could have monitored their filming - based on their vision/direction - by plugging a custom ratio into a professional monitor (or putting tape on the screen like back in the day to get it 'in the ballpark'.)]

Or they used a cinema camera like a RED that captures in a certain wider resolution/format.

Your example is 1920x804 so that's why it looks different than the traditional 1920x1080.
