The other thing to keep in mind is that 2.8 is only available at the widest zoom setting. Once you start to zoom in, the aperture gets smaller. So F3.5 may have been the widest aperture available at the focal length being used.

thx for the tips. Now I set the iris manually wide open and let do the auto shutter and auto iso do the rest. Filmed this weekend inside a church and the footage looked great. Couldn't test this outside because the rain. For the communion I used manual focus with peaking. My subject was peaked yellow but the footage was a bit out of focus on my computer. When filming I changed the focus on the foreground subject so the backrground was not peaking and out of focus but this wasn't the result. Maybe I set the peaking too high and is this not accurate?

1) when in autofocus and I manually turn the iris ring I get a white "peaking" color while turning. What's causing this? Because my peaking color is set to yellow and when switching to manual focus and focus assist it's indeed the yellow peaking.
2) And I have a little black spot (some dust I think) in my viewfinder. is there a easy way to remove it?panasonic DVX200, GH5s and HC-X920

1) is EVF DTL. You can turn that on or off.

thank you so much Barry! and removing the dust inside of the viewfinder? I saw there are 2 small screws. Can I just unscrew them and take the viewfinder off to remove the dust?

Probably best not to touch it. Sometimes there are multiple pieces of glass and you'll end up getting more particles/finger prints on them if you don't know what you're doing/not in a clean room.
