Watched this tonight on a big screen with a big sound system, and while it's not without merit, there were times when I swear I could hear Stanley Kubrick turning in his grave.

As a sequel to "The Shining", it seemed to take as many cues from Tony Scott's "The Hunger" as it did from Kubrick, but only in an underwhelming, not edgy enough, kind of way.
