    I'm very curious to see how this is priced as it could be a great alternative to a wireless LAV set-up. Timecode + un-clippable LAV recording is a killer combo.

    With this, there is really no need to send wireless anymore, I think. Same price as Synch E.

    The main drawback is that you can't monitor the recording, so if the person is rubbing the mic or the mic is rubbing against clothing, you won't find out until you review the recording. ( just have to make sure you are careful when placing the LAV mic )

    I realized this after posting. With this case, I would send using a Rode Wireless Go for monitoring.

    Not a bad idea given how small the RODE transmitter is.

    My biggest gripe against Tentacle and similar products is the lack of user replaceable batts. This means the life time cost of the devices will be 2-5x more expensive than user replaceable batts. You got to send them in for replacement and the cost of downtime is not good either.
