Looks like the EVA1 is going to get BMD’s BRaw recording using their new Video Assist 5-inch and 7-inch Monitor recorders, both have daylight viewing capability with high Nit screens. This gives EVA1 shooters a choice between the new BRaw codec and ProRes Raw. It will be interesting to see how this works out.
    Cheers

Note that both B-RAW and ProRes RAW have announced support in Premiere and Avid Media Composer. So lots of support options now for EVA1 RAW.

Now if only Resolve would get onboard with ProRes Raw and FCPX with B-Raw support. Let users choose what they want to use.

Hi Mitch, does it look the new Video Assist models will get support for the S1H?

    Thanks!

Best thing about it is that there's now an option for a 5" external recorder.

I can't speak to such developments for the S1H. Not that I'm not willing to share, just that because the S1H is part of our Consumer Division I honestly don't know.

    Hi Mitch,

Can you say whether there are plans for BRAW for the Varicam LT?

    Thanks.

That's interesting. I noticed that the S1H is listed in the banner on the Panasonic Cinema Camera Global website beside the Varicams and the EVA so I thought you guys were getting more tightly integrated. It will interesting to see what your colleagues come up with for the S1H.

    Thanks!

    Hello there Mitch,

I've been having a serious doubt about these new Blackmagic Recorders regarding the Eva1.

Do you think these new recorders will have 5.7K RAW from an Eva1 like the atomos shogun or do you think it will be limited to 4K?

    Thanks mate!

@Raphael, Blackmagic products are not very good in my opinion. If I recall, there was some latency issues on their recorders compared to O7Q+ and Shogun
