    Just posted on Facebook:

    =====

    Veydra LLC has gone out of business due to the conclusion of ongoing litigation between the founders of the company.

    I offer special thanks to everyone involved in the success of Veydra; first and foremost all Veydra Kickstarter backers and customers. Specific thanks to those who made it possible from the start; Phil Holland, Illya Friedman, Matthew Duclos, Joshua Brown, Alex Jacobs, and all the supporters too numerous to mention here.

    It’s been a wonderful journey and I thank you all for your support and kindness.

    I guess we all assumed some sort of announcement was coming, but still a sad end to a company that made some nice lenses.

    I know the history on this and it is very unfortunate. Veydra could have gone on to do more great things but there was someone doing some terrible quick buck moves and it all got rather sordid. Ryan’s a great guy and he’s already moved on to other cool things, but it’s sad Veydra could not become what he envisioned.

    Rented a 50mm (E-mount) back in 2015/16 and was immediately blown away.

    Come to find out so was everyone else. Beautiful glass.

    Who owns the IP? Just wondering if we will see this again because it obviously was working and they were on the way to success.

    I feel fortunate that I was able to buy the 19, 25, 35, and 50. Wish I had a chance to buy the 85.

    When I once reached out to Ryan (he was doing customer service for Veydra too at some point), he said the 85mm was very good (and the 12mm for MFT).
