So what is a "too long" clip? Five seconds? "Too short", two frames?

I can just see a lot of people being encouraged by this software to go overboard on frenetic edits, continuing an unfortunate trend. Yuck.

Mentioned this in another post about how not too long ago, people were suggesting that anything longer than a few seconds was too long. I remember one youtube guy telling people to edit every second, no matter what. That was his "style", I don't think that guy is around anymore, or he is off editing Transformers action sequences.

How boring if the world always edits shots to the same length. This will encourage every new editor to be like good little sheep and edit the same and no longer edit for the content of the story or the message. No software can determine if a shot should be held longer and unfortunately inexperienced editors will think they are doing something wrong.

BMD needs to stick to being gear heads and stop trying to determine the creative direction of the industry.

Exactly. I almost feel as if this is a publicity gimmick by BM to get their NLE portion of Resolve noticed and people to buy in. It will have the opposite effect...

PS. Tokyo was the "future", as an elevated freeway system was then a complete unknown to the Soviet audience. I don't think any of the ex-Soviet states have it even to this day.

Resolve can now fix all of those movies.
