Been reading a lot about latest firmware for GH5 and what it means for USB tethering. ALso have yet to find a single article about using this tethering feature for live video capture (e.g. to use with something like Skype or online webinar platforms).

Have read about HDMI to USB devices that sell around $100 - $200, but just trying to get a definitive answer on whether USB tethering indeed enables live streaming.

    Thanks!

No, you cannot use the USB port for livestreaming; photo tethering is as far as it goes. I happen to use the Elgato CamLink for livestreaming and it is the perfect solution, IMO.
