    What an evolving story!
That's nothing, wait until the next video, where Scooby Doo and the Mystery Gang reveal RED cameras to be nothing more then old Canon 5D Mark III running Magic Lantern in diguise......

    Did anyone read this? https://www.dropbox.com/sh/52mk7rbgy...VnUT4HgDa?dl=0

Looks like Apple handed RED their ass. The 'RAW video' patent was nothing more then a sham which shouldn't have been granted in the first place, as is explained clearly by the Apple appointed expert. Hopefully, when this is over, many more cameras will feature proper RAW codecs. Currently RED seem to be the Mafia thugs of the video industy, but wielding invalid patents instead of guns, they are stiffling innovation in the field.

There's plenty of coverage on EOSHD and tons of insightful forum posts, including from disgruntled users and ex-journalists. There's a guy posting, claiming to be from RED (Phill Holland) who's veiledly threatining naysayers. Also looks like RED had sued the site's owner in the past too, as well as threatened to sue Philip Bloom, when he revealed how unreliable his RED Epic (which he had just mortaged his house to buy) actually was.

Yep, there's soon going to be a world shortage of popcorn with all this fun and drama!

    Brexit? Sure we can; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BN1WwnEDWAM

But the 'Downfall of RED' sure looks to be more interesting than old-fart politics!

That's not politics. It's mass delusion.

    First, politics. Then Hitler.

Say, has anyone seen Jim Jannard lately?

Sometimes being poor is a benefit, it means not being able to afford overpriced memory cards.

I was searching online for Red's revenues or number of cameras sold. Since it's a privately held company, I expected to find no official information but was hoping to pick up on some scents. And found none.

    But I did find this.

Hard to say if any of this is real but if it is, sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.
It's a business first and a creative outlet second.
