    hi
i have a problem with premiere pro cc 2019 it's that in project settings , general, video rendering and playback , then the renderer is greyedout
so i cant' chose between gc and cpu to render the video

i installed the 2017 version and it's not greyedout , the problem with this version it's that it doesn"t accept files like mkv , the newest video formats , so i prefer the latest version
can i change that in cc2019?

    thanks y'all

Check with Adobe to see what GC's are supported in 2019 versions with your OS. It might be as simple as updating your driver. If you use CUDA, you'll have to stick with High Sierra (mac).

    Here's a good starting point:

    maybe it's the cpu ; i have a ryzen 1950x ; or the gpu , i have a aorus 1080 ti xtreme
    i'm on my knees right now , i can't work i can't do anything with this f software ,

just made another update , cuda , it wasn't installed , so i did it , in the end it's not greyedout anymore
i chose mercury playback engine gpu acceleration , and the playback is still choppy
maybe the best solution is mac + quaddro or windows intel + quaddro , almost 10k to get rid of all the problems

Installed 2017? How did you manage that?
Might want to read on what cuda does and does not do:
