Whos had good luck with the Impulz film luts for the 35 or 23? I bought them awhile ago but i cant seem to put my finder on which version looks best. Arri Alexa actually seems pretty nice but Slog doesnt need to really hold it down. I have film convert as well from my film school days (yay using student loan money for plugins) but i have yet to really venture into experimenting with it. Anyone have any luck with anything different?

The 50D was always my go to for SLOG with the F35. Lovely, lovely colour reproduction.

If I understand correctly, most of these print film LUTs expect source footage to be in a cineon or LogC format for best results?

Many LUTs are indeed designed to be used with certain cameras (or ones with a similar output), but you'll quickly find many also are interchangeable. Meaning they will only slightly affect another camera's LOG (in a way they are not supposed to) and still look great, sometimes even better than on their intended target.

It is a pack of film emulation luts from VisionColor. They have many color space specific luts including slog/sgamut.

Hi David, yes... I have and tried those on the F35 without much success. I'll give them another spin. Does anyone have any sample stills with these film emulations?

I bought the impulz luts years ago when i had my first varicam. They seem to be working nicely with my F23.. used the 250D FC Arri Alexa LOG C here. excuse the low light interiors and shaky cam.. still getting my footing with 36ibs on my shoulder lol

Sorry, I realize I miss read your post. I was thinking you were asking what it was, not were those the luts used.
